Nona Jones is a rare combination of preacher, business executive, author, and entrepreneur. She currently serves as the Chief Content & Partnerships Officer at YouVersion, maker of the 500M download Bible App. Her corporate leadership includes serving as the Head of Global Faith Partnerships at Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook, Chief External Affairs Officer for a multi-state school for at-risk girls and Public Policy Director for a multi-service utility company. She is the bestselling author of three books, including Killing Comparison, Success from the Inside Out and From Social Media to Social Ministry, the globally acclaimed guide to digital discipleship for churches.
Since being licensed into the gospel ministry at the age of 17, Nona has preached around the world and teaches the Bible as a YouVersion Teaching Partner. As a business executive and entrepreneur, she has been profiled by ESSENCE Magazine as an “Under 40 Woman to Watch” and Florida Trend Magazine as one of Florida’s “30-Something All Stars.” She is a graduate of Leadership Florida and the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a joint initiative of President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton.
Nona’s civic engagement includes The Links, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Jack & Jill. She serves on the boards of Christianity Today Magazine, The Salvation Army and Faith and Prejudice. She holds a Bachelor of Communication and Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida where she has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Alumnus and she has completed graduate studies at the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation.
She and her husband, Pastor Tim, lead Open Door Church in Gainesville, FL and are the proud parents of two boys, Timothy, Jr. and Isaac and one girl, Goldendoodle Shiloh.
Dr. La Keita D. Carter is a licensed psychologist in Maryland specializing in trauma, sexual wellness and relationships, addictions, women’s issues, and cultural barriers to treatment. A native Baltimorean, Dr. Carter completed her bachelor's degree at Temple University as well as master's and doctoral degrees at Loyola University Maryland. In addition to being a licensed psychologist, she is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and licensed clinical alcohol & drug counselor (LCADC) in Maryland.
Dr. Carter is the owner and CEO of the Institute for HEALing, LLC (iHEAL), an award-winning, nationally-accredited wellness agency based in Owings Mills, MD that specializes in the treatment of mental health disorders in children, teens, and adults. In addition to her practice, she teaches psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels.. Afectionately known as "Dr. C" by her patients and graduate students, she has authored three psychology textbooks.
Over the past two years, she was recognized as one of Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs, Maryland’s Top 100 Women (in 2021 and 2023), and Top 40 under 40 by The Daily Record and a Leader in Diversity by The Baltimore Business Journal. She has been featured guest discussing mental health topics like stress, trauma, and depression in media outlets like The Afro, Fox45, WBAL, New York Times, Washington Post, WJZ13, and Baltimore Sun.
With love for her community being a driving force behind her work, she volunteers her time as a member of the Board of Directors for Pro Bono Counseling as well as the Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the Black Mental Health Alliance, Inc. She holds the ofice of Secretary on the Board of Deacons at Providence Baptist Church as well as chaplain of one of the church’s oldest clubs.
A 22-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Dr. Carter was initiated in Delta Mu chapter at Temple University and is active in Rho Xi Omega chapter (Baltimore, MD) where she currently serves as the chair of the Mental Health Awareness Committee, chair of the Technology Committee, and member of the External Awards Committee.
She is married to Jarrett Carter, Sr., and they have four children who range in age from 4-13. She enjoys exercising (liting and cycling), baking, cooking, traveling, home decorating, and watching movies. She reserves Sundays, her favorite day of the week, for faith, family, and selfcare, which includes baking her weekly loaf of bread.
Carmen Fulton, M.D. Board Certified Psychiatrist is a graduate of the University of Maryland-Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Training Program. She offers an up-to-date knowledge base of current evidence-based treatment in both medication management and a broad range of psychotherapies. Dr. Fulton uses an integrated wellness approach in treating patients, particularly with a focus on chronic mental illness in forensic populations. Fulton obtained a Masters in Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University, with a special interest in decreasing the stigma of mental health concerns in underserved and minority populations.
Yvette Bunn Jones’ career in Human Resources spans over 30 years. She has gained a wealth of experience as a leader in Higher Education and Healthcare for over 24 years. Yvette currently serves as the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources at CCBC where she is in her tenth year of service. Under Yvette’s leadership, the interdisciplinary team is utilizing the business partner approach to provide transformative service to the college. Yvette also serves as co-chair of the President’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council, where she’s recently helped lead efforts to develop Diversity Climate Surveys for faculty, staff, and students.
Prior to joining CCBC, Yvette served in several human resource positions in health care within the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), an academic medical institution.
Yvette holds a B.S. in Mass Communications and Communication Studies from Towson University and an M.S. in Organizational Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University. She currently serves as president for the Maryland Chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), where she has served in numerous board positions since 2018. Yvette completed the Leadership Baltimore County program in 2018. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), where she has served on the Advocacy team (A – Team) since 2015.
Yvette serves her community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she is the current chair of the mentoring committee and the Associates of the Greater Baltimore Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Yvette has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 26 years and they are the proud parents of one amazing daughter.
Asia Rogers is the founder of A Rogers Apparel, a women’s clothing brand designed to empower women through fashion. With her 16 years of experience in the Fashion and Apparel Industry, Asia saw a void in the marketplace for a lifestyle brand for women 30 and over that offered fashionable attire that could be worn to work, but could also transition to weekend and evening attire. Grounded in mentorship, Asia is passionate in leading young professionals and entrepreneurs in their life journey by offering consulting for their small businesses in brand imaging and career coaching.
Asia has a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and an Associate’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Advertising and Communications. She has traveled globally working with some of the largest brands in the world. Over the course of her career, Asia has spent time working for multi-million dollar corporations like Jos. A Bank Clothiers, Under Armour and DTLR in various roles like Merchandise Allocation, Planning, and Buying. She also has professional experience in international manufacturing, product development and project management with Apparel Branding Innovation company, Lion Brothers.
Asia is co-founder of the non-profit I Am MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project where she and her husband and host of mentors teach leadership skills and a multitude of life application skills through mentorship for youth in Baltimore, MD. She also serves on the Board of Directors and works in event planning for the organization.
Asia currently lives in Baltimore, MD with her husband Darren and two daughters, Laila (13) and Laci (5).
